IB Math: Applications and Interpretations SL is a math course. This course is for IB diploma candidates or anticipated diploma candidates. This course is about 2/3 pre-calculus and 1/3 pre-statistics. At the end of the course, 11th and 12th grade IB Diploma candidate students will take an IB External Assessment (test) to earn points toward an IB Diploma. Following this course, students will be prepared to take AP Statistics, AP Calculus AB/BC, and/or AP Computer Science.

Unit 01 - Measuring Space: Accuracy and 2D Geometry
Unit 02 - Representing Space: Non-Right Angled Trigonometry and Volumes
Unit 03 - Representing and Describing Data: Descriptive Statistics

1st Semester Exam - The first semester exam will have at least one question on each of the topics from units 01-06. The questions will be inspired by the questions on Paper 1 from the 2021 and 2022 External Assessments.
Unit 07 - Quantifying Uncertainty: Probability, Binomial and Normal Distributions
Unit 08 - Testing for Validity: Spearman's Hypothesis Testing and Chi Square Test for Independence
Unit 09 - Modelling Relationships with Functions: Power Functions
Unit 10 - Modelling Rates of Change: Exponential and Logarithmic Functions
Unit 11 - Modelling Periodic Phenomena: Trigonometric Functions
Unit 12 - Analyzing Rates of Change: Differential Calculus
Unit 13 - Approximating Irregular Spaces: Integration
