Course Description
Algebra Readiness is a PreAlgebra course designed to build students with the fundamentals to succeed in a high school Algebra 1 class. The focus of this class will be depth of knowledge as opposed to a wide variety of topics. Students are expected to practice math in class bell to bell for daily credit. Typically there will not be homework assigned for this class. Formative assessment is a daily part of this class with summative assessments about every two weeks. There will also be non traditional assessments throughout the course where students can prove knowledge of topics in untimed environments with multiple attempts at mastery.

FastBridge is an assessment that measures both your quick calculation ability (CBMMath Automaticity) and your problem solving skills (aMath). We use this score to help with placement of incoming freshman and also as a formative assessment (it helps teachers know exactly what each student needs). It is important that each student's score is accurate and all students give full effort. Also, there is no reason to cheat on these assessments. Students will be given full credit for attempting with effort.
Sign into clever and find the "Renaissance" app (a fancy "R"), navigate to FastTrack Math and begin.
