CCESA MEETING MINUTES
DATE: Monday, May 1, 2017
PLACE: La Antigua Restaurant
The meeting was called to order @ 5:05 pm by President, Valerie Treaster.
Opening Prayer was led by Valerie Treaster.
There were 16 in attendance, 2 were guests.
The minutes from the April 3rd meeting were read by Lisa Gonzales. Corrections to the minutes were that Rosemary Benavides with Adore will do hair. Adele made the motion to accept and Cindy seconded the motion.
Treasurer’s Report for April was read. Yadira made the motion to accept and Hannah seconded the motion.
No refreshments or door prizes were provided for this meeting since it was our End of The Year Banquet.
New Business:
Officers for the 2017-2018 were sworn in by President, Valerie Treaster. They are President-Lori Leal, Vice President-Lisa Gonzales, Treasurer-Linda Reyes, and Secretary-Laura DeLaGarza. A photo was taken and will be given to The Port Lavaca Wave.
Member of the Month the month is Patty Rogers, Library Aide @ Travis Middle School.
Old Business:
Update on Romeo and Juliet Project: Our Romeo and Juliet (Michael and Madeline) were present. Gwen presented them both with goody bags that contained the following information for Prom. Madeline’s dress was donated by Mid Coast Council. Amanda Ruiz will be doing her makeup. Rosemary Benavides with Adore will be doing her/his hair. Adele is donating the corsage and Bout. Adele will also donate the jewelry. Make Me Chic will be doing her nails. Jackson Photography is donating the rental of the Tux. Lisa Gonzales donated her shoes. Olive Garden donated a $25 Gift Card and CCESA donated a $25 Gift Card.
