Hello all! Happy Spring! Let us enjoy the final days before the summer heat arrives!

I would like to start off by saying, "Thank you for trusting me with the opportunity to be President of The California Association of Educational Office Professionals." It is truly an honor to be elected as president. I will do my best to continue leading the organization in the footsteps of all the great past presidents. I am counting on the members out there to help with changes and further opportunities to make the Association even better this coming year! All suggestions are welcome!

By way of introduction, I have been a member of CAEOP for several years and most recently served as Treasurer of CAEOP. I am a member of our local affiliation, Kern Association of Educational Office Professionals and have served in many positions on the board as well. I have worked for the Kern County Superintendent of Schools for almost 28 years, and my current title is Internal Fiscal Analyst. I am married to Ray and we have two daughters - Morgan and Alisha and six beautiful grandchildren - Lily, El, Violet, Oliver, Autumn, and Asher. I enjoy reading and taking walks on the beach.

My theme this year in Knowledge Through Books. I encourage reading for everyone. You can gain so much knowledge and new ways to imagine through reading. My year as president will include ways to encourage reading withing the organization, as fundraisers for scholarships, as well as out in the communities.

I am grateful that you have placed your trust in me and I will do my best to make you happy with the choice. Thank you! I am looking forward to a wonderful year with CAEOP!
