The AWAN e-Bulletin CAAM Siri 4/2025 highlights CAAM’s key milestones from October to November 2025, including its active role at the International Civil Aviation Forum (ICAF) in Beijing where the CEO presented Malaysia’s approach to integrating AI in aviation. Malaysia also strengthened global ties through a new MoU with Transport Canada, while several domestic programmes were successfully carried out, such as CASS 2025 in Kuching, the Aviation Safety Awareness CSR programme in Limbang, and an engagement session on Advanced Air Mobility (AAM). CAAM conducted its 2026 Strategic Retreat to set organisational direction and held important technical meetings with MET Malaysia and the Armed Forces to enhance airspace safety. The bulletin also announces the appointment of two new Authority Members and the approval of major RMK-13 aviation projects. In the CEO’s message, CAAM emphasises talent development through the upcoming Talent Associate Programme (TAP) and the Employee Pulse Survey as part of its wider transformation efforts.
The third issue of CAAM’s AWAN e-Bulletin Siri 3/2025 highlights Malaysia’s success in retaining its seat as an ICAO Council Member (2025–2028), marking seven consecutive terms since 2007. The issue also features the launch of CAAM’s new corporate identity officiated by the Minister of Transport, YB Loke Siew Fook, symbolising a modern and dynamic aviation regulator. Other key updates include the appointments of Captain Mohd Radzi Mohamad Alias and Puan Zurina Omar to senior leadership roles, strengthened collaboration with MET Malaysia and Japan’s JCAB, and initiatives on cybersecurity, integrity, and organisational transformation. CEO Dato’ Captain Norazman Mahmud commended the team’s dedication and urged continued unity and professionalism in driving CAAM’s transformation forward.
The second issue of CAAM’s AWAN e-Bulletin Siri 2/2025 highlights Malaysia’s selection as host for the 61st DGCA Conference in 2026, the appointment of Dato’ Kok Soo Chon as a new Authority Member, and heartfelt farewells to Captain Md Jani and Puan Dayang Siti Noor Jehan for their service. It also reports on the KPI 2026 preparation meeting, the introduction of PMCare for improved staff healthcare benefits, and CAAM’s ongoing organisational and cultural transformation, including leadership development programs to strengthen efficiency, resilience, and teamwork.
The first issue of CAAM’s AWAN e-Bulletin Siri 1/2025 highlights the organisation’s official transformation into a Badan Berkanun Diasingkan Saraan dan Bebas (BBDSB) on 1 August 2025, marking a major milestone with 97% acceptance of its new remuneration system. It announces the appointment of Dato’ Mohamed Sharil Tarmizi as the new Chairman, celebrates the onboarding of 52 former MAVCOM staff, and introduces CAAM’s new logo and official batik design.
