Important Announcement: Group Health Insurance For December 2024 - September 2025 (10 months)

Application period extended until Monday November 25th, 2024

Special on-site info booth: Friday November 22th, 2024, from 9AM to 3PM, on the ground floor of Charmchuri 5 Building.

Overview: Having a health insurance plan is actually required by the C2F fellowship regulation. C2F researchers can purchase any insurance plan from any provider of their choice. Nevertheless, the insurance plan coordinated by Chulalongkorn University for its employees is also an option. In this upcoming insurance period (December 2024 - September 2025), the service provider is SE Life (อาคเนย์ประกันชีวิต). Please go over the information given here and proceed as you consider appropriate to your life situation.

• C2F researchers will be applying as the "Main Member (voluntary)" / "สมาชิกสมทบภาคสมัครใจ".

• You can also apply one for each of your immediate relatives (with an exception of siblings), e.g. parents, spouse, and children and one for an extended family member (including a sibling).

• Coverage Period: December 1st, 2024/Or the first day of your successful coverage - September 30th, 2025

  • If you leave the program before the coverage period ends, your insurance policy will be automatically void. No refund will be available. So, plan wisely.

Important Announcement (Updated Monday September 23rd, 2024)

• There will be a lot of changes in the C2F postdoc fellowship scheme. The information given here is NOT finalized. The official information can be obtained from the main C2F website (https://c2f.chula.ac.th/) once it is announced. Every piece of information given here is under an on-going discussion. Nevertheless, as of now, here is the most updated information for your preparation.

• There will no longer be the Graduate School postdoctoral fellowship. This program has been cancelled. As a result, the renewal option is no longer available.

• The “old” C2F postdoc fellowship will be changed into the “new” C2F postdoc fellowship.

• If you are able to complete your fellowship in September 2024, you should have been able to “renew” your fellowship for another 12-month period, under the “old” scheme.

• If you are able to complete your fellowship in October 2024 or later, the renewal option will NO LONGER be available. That means you will have to “re-apply” to the “new” C2F scheme.

o   Application Period for the 1st round: October 1st - 15th, 2024

o   Result Announcement: October 30th, 2024.

o   Work Start Date: November 1st, 2024

o   Application and selection will be conducted by C2F.

o   Go to the main C2F website for more details (https://c2f.chula.ac.th/).

o   One supervisor can hold at most 2 postdocs (old+new) at a time. (If your supervisor has already reached the limit, it doesn’t hurt to look for an alternative.)

o   Entry requirements:

§  Applicants moving from the old C2F: he/she will have to complete his/her current fellowship requirements first (i.e. manuscript acceptance at least).

§  New applicants: minimum one Q1 paper as either 1st or corresponding author.

o   Minimum Output requirement:

§  Track A: T1 x 1 paper

§  Track B: Q1 x 1 paper

o   Supports:

§  Track A: 40k x 12 months + 120k bonus if able to publish T1 within 6 months after the end of the fellowship.

§  Track B: 30k x 12 months + 120k bonus if able to publish T1 within 6 months after the end of the fellowship.

§  There will be NO MORE housing subsidies.

• In any case, if you are unable to complete your fellowship within your own designated time frame (i.e. fellowship period), you will have to file for an extension, 6 months at a time. (Further instructions are to be given.)
