Welcome to the BYU-Pathway Worldwide General Support team!
We are thrilled to have you join us in our efforts to serve students across our programs. Our goal is to provide students with fast, accurate, and friendly service to ensure they have the best possible experience on their educational journey.
During this training, we will walk you through the basics of what you need to know to assist students effectively. Whether it's guiding them through enrollment processes, troubleshooting technical issues, or providing general support, your role is crucial in helping our students succeed.
Remember, if you have any additional questions or need further assistance, don't hesitate to reach out to your trainer or your Advising Support Agent (ASA). We're here to support each other as we support our students. Welcome aboard!
BYU-Pathway Worldwide has a unique mission:
"BYU-Pathway Worldwide improves lives through access to spiritually based, online affordable higher education. Its mission is to develop disciples of Jesus Christ who are leaders in their homes, the Church, and their communities.
The organization does this by: Getting the gospel down into the students’ hearts, helping students become capable learners, and preparing students to lead and support families."
Support plays an important role in this mission. Our students come from a wide variety of educational and economic backgrounds. For many of students, this is their first time in higher education or their first time studying online. Support helps students overcome the challenges of getting an online education by assisting them when they have issues. Without support, many would not be able to reach their education goals.
One of the defining characteristics of BYU-Pathway Worldwide is to minister to the one, just as the Savoir did. As we help our students, we want to make sure that we provide service that is individual and personalized to the student and their circumstances. Approach their questions with understanding as many of these students have not participated in any form of higher education. There have been many instances where support staff or advisors have made a large difference in the lives of those that they are helping and we know that you can too.
“The Lord has put BYU-Pathway on the earth to open up those opportunities for our brothers and sisters who have been educationally invisible for a long time. Many of them fear they cannot do the work of higher education. Many of them see the cost of education as a huge barrier. Many of them have been told all of their lives that education and learning is not for them. Many of them have believed that false doctrine, until now.”
