ABOUT BARCELONA

Barcelona, the cosmopolitan capital of Catalonia, is a city with more than 2000 years of history. Founded by the romans, it was in the Middle Ages that it became a great Mediterranean city, as shown in the splendor of its gothic buildings. Besides its medieval roots, Barcelona has a modernist personality represented by the architecture of Antoni Gaudi, spread throughout the city. CLIMATE

In Barcelona you can enjoy of a pleasant mediterranean climate. In June the weather is mostly sunny and hot, so make sure you have your sunglass with you! During this period of the year the average temperature is around 21ᵒC (max 25ᵒC - min 18ᵒC), with an average humidity of 67%. The summer season is just starting, and it is a perfect time to live the beach life of Barcelona.

Barcelona is in the Central European Time Zone, where the time is (GMT+1H) during the standard time and (GMT+2H) during summer (Daylight-Saving) time.

Getting to Barcelona

Barcelona is a well connected destination, serving a vast number of European and international flights. Barcelona-El Prat is the main airport, and it is located just 12 km from the center of the city. There are several transport options providing a direct link from the airport to the city center:

Metro: Line L9 Sud

Train: R2 North Line of the local train service (RENFE) from Aeroport terminal T2

Express Bus services: Aerobús A1-A2 to and from Aeroport terminal T1-T2

Urban Bus: TMB buses line 46 and night bus lines N16-N17

Taxi: Prices aprox. 25 - 30€
