About Career Women
The Career Women Golf InterClub (CWG IC) was designed for working women (full and part-time) who cannot play golf during the week or have limited opportunities to do so. Matches are usually played Sunday afternoon starting around 11:00am.
Eligibility
BWGA members currently working full or part time
BWGA members who previously played in Career Women but stopped working are still eligible to play
BWGA members who do not work can only play after all working women are given the opportunity to play first
**Important for preferred members** you are allowed to play at away course matches without the 1:00 start time restriction.
Format and Rules
The format is 2-woman team match play.
Each of the participating clubs has two teams, an A & B team. The A team has a handicap index of 0 - 19.9 and the B team has a handicap index of 20 - 32.
When two clubs compete, matches consisting of an A and B team player from each club are played at the two courses consecutively. A total of 8 players partake in the matches, four at each course.
The tournament is competitive and women should be familiar with the rules of match play before competition.
Higher handicap indexed players up to 36 may participate but they must play to the maximum flight index of 19.9 or 32 as appropriate. After the match, competitors will remain as the hosting team will provide refreshments.
