Artisan Pro X 2022 UXP Webinar Pt. 2: New Method for Creating Depth
Part 2 of the recording of the 3-hr webinar, held on Sunday, May 22, 2022, on the UXP version of Artisan Pro X 2022 is this 1-hr recording of the session after the break and is about a new method to create depth in amorphous and/or more complicated objects and planes with a very high degree of accuracy and control.
The method demonstrates how to utilize luminosity masks as a start and endpoint for a gradual dark-light-dark transition that can be used together or complemented with the traditional method of creating depth via gradients.
Also useful for CEP (Legacy) users of the Artisan Pro panel
This video is also useful for non-UXP (older CEP Legacy) users of the Artisan panel as it uses existing features.
As I showed photos in the last part of this video that are part of a commissioned project and haven’t been officially published yet, I removed that part of the video as a courtesy to my client. A small and I believe non-essential part of the live demonstration will therefore not be available in the recording.
Artisan Pro X 2022 UXP Webinar Pt. 1: Overview differences + new features.

In part 2 of the webinar after the break (separate video on my channel) I’m demonstrating a new method for creating depth in more intricate and amorphous shapes with a variety of light sources. This will be useful for CEP Legacy users of the panel as well as the features I’m using are also available in the older CEP panel version.

Artisan Pro X 2022 Webinar - Four Fine Art Images in 60 Minutes
The recording of the 1.5 hr webinar, held on Sunday, November 21, 2021, on the new updates in PS CC 2022 in relation to the updates in the B&W Artisan Pro X 2022 panel. With timestamps (open video on YouTube for the time-stamps)
Four images in 60 minutes (more or less)
The recording gives a brief overview of the most important PS CC 2022 changes in relation to the Artisan Pro X 2022 update by creating 4 images in both color and B&W in fine art style, varying from street portraiture to trees/landscapes to still life, without any selections in 60 minutes (not counting the introduction and Q&As). Just skip the intro with updates/overview to go straight to the demos
Why it is important
Recently, Adobe released the PS CC 2022 update introducing automatic object masking features that benefit the typical features of the Artisan Pro X panel profoundly and positively in such a way that the process of post-processing high-quality fine art images not only becomes faster but also more accurate and intuitive with a minimal amount of Photoshop knowledge. Especially in those cases where natural objects are involved. Think landscapes, portraiture, and still life. But also architectural images.
Artisan Pro X Webinar Recording - Practical Workflows
The 2-hour recording of the entire live and interactive webinar with timestamps/chapters on the recommended workflows for the B&W Artisan Pro X 2021 panel for all levels. Hosted and conducted by Joel Tjintjelaar in front of a live international Zoom audience on October 10, 2021.
This is a purely practical demonstration of 3 recommended workflows with the panel, without any theoretical explanations or explanations on the presets in the panel. That has been extensively covered in previous webinars.
1. Simple workflow - no hard masks, just using random selections. This is a fast and intuitive workflow. Ideal for landscapes, still life, portraiture. Anything natural.
2. Intermediate workflow - with hard masks and rectangular masks and restore. This is a more structured workflow that needs hard masks and requires more knowledge of panel and Photoshop. Ideal for more complex images where more accuracy and control are needed. Such as architecture but also natural objects and landscapes for which you prefer more control.
3. Advanced workflow - with hard masks, rectangular masks, restore, and Pro Tools. A structured workflow meant for users who are comfortable with both panel and Photoshop. Ideal for more complex images with even more granular control.
