STUDENT LEADERSHIP
Impact. Influence. Inspire.
Student leadership within the Butler Bands is a vitally important element of the program. Students audition and are selected by the band director to serve in the positions listed below. Students are encouraged to try out for more than one position and should read each position description carefully and see where they feel they can best serve. Depending on needs and circumstances each year, not all positions may be filled and some leadership roles may be added/re-defined.

CLASSROOM CONCERTMASTERS
2023-2024
For each class, the students will elect a “concertmaster”. These concertmasters will be voted on by their peers and approved by the director. This student will be expected to assist the director in any way they need during class time. This includes: making and passing out copies, upholding the cleanliness of facilities, keeping up with their peers to stay organized, running sectionals, helping the director uphold and facilitate rehearsal etiquette and protocol, helping uphold all band policies, and playing their instrument at the highest level.
