The Martin and Elizabeth Degen Bushman Family Organization was incorporated in 2017 as a non-profit corporation in the State of Utah. This was the result of Bushman cousins imagining how their heritage could be more effectively shared by organizing and combining their efforts. The organization is composed entirely of volunteers. Its purposes are to support projects that will clarify and share historical information, identify artifacts, and preserve and memorialize sites of historical sigifiance to the descendants, ancestors and relatives of Martin and Elizabeth who lived in the 19th Century. These objectives will be accomplished through research, website and social media communication, meetings, reunions, committee activities, publishing, republishing, collecting and curating of artifacts, placing of permanent historical markers at sites, and artistic activities of various kinds.
