Mansion Update
Who are the survivrs? Where are the survivrs? Why ... are we survivrs?
The mansion was here long before any of us, and it will still be here after the last dinner is served. This sprawling domain includes a feature never before seen on the island: another level! Ransack the cellar and depart hastily, or risk becoming a permanent cellar dweller.
Rumor has it the mansion was owned by a wealthy arms dealer, whose possessions included a Desert Eagle handgun. Utilizing powerful .50 AE cartridges, the Desert Eagle deals massive damage per bullet and is the first (and for now, only) gun that is first shot accurate. With a mere 7 rounds per magazine and ammo that only drops with the gun spawn, you'll want to make every shot count.

Happy Spookiversary!
This week, we're celebrating the first anniversary of surviv.io! In a spooktacular twist of fate, surviv.io debuted late on Oct. 31, 2017. As a special treat (or trick?!), we've crafted a solos-only Halloween mode that some of you may find wickedly familiar.
Across an Island cloaked in darkness, discover ominous pumpkins, each containing a prop-erly frightful disguise or costume. Is that a bush or a bush wookie? Why is that barrel holding a gun? Am I being punched by a table? As the red zone shrinks, your paranoia will only grow.
Rumor tells of a haunted bunker built over an otherworldly, some say demonic, energy source on the Island. PARMA could not control the power they disturbed. Can you? The path to unlocking The Eye is stained with blood.
Halloween mode will only be around for a limited time, and you can probably guess how long that will be. Enjoy it while it lasts!

50v50 Update
Incursion recursion
50 vs 50 has arrived. To commemorate one of the bloodiest days in Island history, we're holding a field day (or week) of massive team versus team battles.
Join up alone or with a squad, and you'll be drafted into the Red Army or the Blue Group. Once both teams have locked in, one Leader will be randomly chosen for each side. Leaders get a variety of perks, including a new gun and a new melee weapon! Leader pings are also visible and audible to every member of your team.
The enemy team isn't the only new danger in 50v50. Strike aircraft have been tasked with making frequent air strikes and you do not want to be caught in the bombing zone. Head indoors for relative safety, or attempt your best safety dance as the bombs fall around you.
Will you rout the Red Army with a devastating flanking maneuver? Or will the Blue Group be crushed under the weight of a decisive pincer attack? Tell us your best war story on our Discord server or on Instagram.
[0.7.1] - Feb. 22, 2019
- Added new throwable: strobe (desert map only).
- Added new obstacles: meteor case, bridge column, aged faction statues (desert map only).
- Removed knives from drop tables.
[0.7.2] - Mar. 14, 2019
Lieutenant Update
Great clips
50v50 is back! It's largely the same as before, but we've added an additional role: the lieutenant.
Each side gets two lieutenants that are assigned after the leaders. Lieutenants get a special perk: firepower. This perk grants them extended magazines for nearly every gun in the game. MAC-10 with 50 round mags? Yes please!
[0.7.3] - Mar. 21, 2019
- Added new building: teahouse.
- Added new obstacles: vase, chrysanthemum chest.
- Added melee weapon: naginata.
[0.7.4] - Apr. 1, 2019
Potato Mode
Rotato potato
Due to budget cuts, PARMA's food science, terraformation, and molecular synthesis divisions were recently merged together. And now the unthinkable has happened: a gross infestation of oversized PARMA "super" potatoes all across the Island. Also, a lot of regular potatoes.
We've deployed our best people to find out what these super potatoes do. So ... good luck, survivrs!
Apr. 2, 2019
End of Potato Mode
Later tater
Congratulations, survivrs! You were able to contain the infestation long enough for PARMA scientists to deploy a fungal pathogen and wipe out the entire crop of super and normal potatoes.
FSTMS division chief Dr. Spud Solanum says, "Our next strain of potatoes will be far less invasive! Probably."
[0.7.5] - Apr. 15, 2019
Woods King Update
Hunt or be hunted
In the woods mode's newest iteration, spring has sprung, and so has a mysterious lake on the Island. Travel to the center of the lake and discover there a mythical artifact imbued with the power of the forest.
Equip this artifact to become The Woods King, which grants two perks that will aid you in your quest for the chicken dinner. But stay on guard! Your reign as king will make you the envy, and target, of every other survivr in the woods.
Lastly, welcome our newest gun coming to all modes: the PKP Pecheneg light machine gun. This weapon spits 7.62mm fed from a monstrous 200-round ammunition box. In normal games, the PKP Pecheneg is even rarer than the M249, but will spawn far more frequently in woods mode.
[0.7.51] - Apr. 25, 2019
50v50 Desert Connection Update
Firepower-up
In this iteration of Desert Rain, we've added the Firepower perk to Lieutenant Helmets found underneath the aged faction statues. This perk grants the helmet-wearer larger magazines, including the recently added PKP machine gun.
And speaking of, we've greatly increased the drop rate of the PKP in golden airdrops in flare gun mode. If you've yet to wield this Spetsnaz favorite, now is the time!
[0.7.52] - Apr. 29, 2019
- Added new perk: Rare Potato. Rotated weapons will (almost) always rotate to a high quality weapon.
May 1, 2019
End of Potato Mode 2
Oven roasted
Well done, survivrs! Your collective efforts helped us to better understand the chaotic nature of these Island-grown potatoes.
FSTMS division chief Dr. Spud Solanum says, "We've learned enough to proceed to phase two: weaponized tubers! Our first prototype will be ready in thirty days ... probably."
[0.7.6] - May 10, 2019
Medic Update
Pills here
50v50 is back for round three, and brings with it role three: the medic.
Each medic is granted a bright white helmet that won't at all draw attention to their location. Medics also get full meds and a special perk: Mass Medicate. This perk makes all medical items and revives affect every nearby teammate.
So get cozy with your team's medic, spam the medical emote (hold C and then right click!), and get healed. Just keep an eye out for bullets and frags. And MIRVs and strobes. And stay away from that smoky barrel...
[0.7.7] - May 30, 2019
Club Update
Clubbed to death
The Island's finest (and only) club is open for business. First constructed in 1977 by a wealthy arms dealer, this expansive building also houses an underground bath and steam rooms.
Be on the lookout for our newest weapon, the Groza assault rifle. The 7.62's answer to the HK416, this bullpup has the bite to back up it's bark. Rumor has it an even more powerful, suppressed version is stored inside the club's main vault.
Club admission is free, but don't arrive fashionably late ... or you'll be wearing a full metal jacket.
[0.7.7] - May 30, 2019
- Added new buildings: club, alternate barn.
- Added new obstacles: bottle crate, couch sectionals, boarded window, concrete column, towel rack, steam rocks, Soviet military crate, red emblem case, golden eye chest.
- Added new weapons: Groza assault rifle, Groza-S assault rifle, P30L pistol.
- Added new skins: Neo Noir (outfit), Sledgehammer (stone hammer).
- Added random building rotation to normal map: one of bank, mansion, and police station will not spawn each game.
[0.7.8] - June 7, 2019
Potato Cannon Update
Your tuber is here
Better late than never, the Island potatoes are back and stronger than ever. PARMA's FSTMS division proudly presents the potato cannon.
Officially designated the PPP-7 (Probably Propelled Potato), the potato cannon is truly the pinnacle of starch-based modern warfare. The potatoes it fires are packed with nutrients ... and nitroglycerin! Each potato cannon also comes with a handy tuber replication device.
June 11, 2019
End of Potato Mode 3
Garlic mashed
Outstanding work, survivrs! You employed the potato cannons with great aplomb.
FSTMS division chief Dr. Spud Solanum says, "We have only peeled the surface of what is possible with the potent power of potatoes."
June 25, 2019
Scout Hut Update
Scouting ahead
Summer is here, and we're bringing the desert heat this week in squads! Game mode stats are now tracked separately. Click here to view the desert mode squad leaders.
In solos and duos, bask in the summer bloom with our newest weapon: the Scout Elite. This bolt-action rifle chambered in green 5.56mm may not pack the punch of the Mosin or SV-98, but it's incredibly accurate on the move and its lightweight build will have you running circles around your enemies.
[0.7.9] - June 25, 2019
- Added new weapon: Scout Elite bolt-action rifle.
- Added new building: scout hut.
[0.7.95] - August 9, 2019

- Added new perk: Endless Ammo. Guns always reload to full.
- Added new helmet: Marksman Helmet. Equipping this item grants a perk.
August 14, 2019

August 21, 2019
Changes to Woods Update
Splinter shell
Solo Squad woods mode is back for a spell, but we've made a few small modifications. The total number of trees has been reduced and additional clearings have been added.
There's also more curious grass, and now curious bushes! What lunacy is this?
August 28, 2019
Perks and Potato Update
Small potatoes
Everyone's favorite RVM (root vegetable mode) is back until the end of August!
There's also a little new perk available in those curious grass areas. Seriously, what's the deal with this grass and those trees and bushes?
September 1, 2019
End of Potato Mode 4
Twice-baked
We may be out of potatoes, but not leeks. What will be the thrilling to conclusion to the great grass mystery of 2019? Keep an eye on our Instagram and Discord server.

Savannah Mode Update
The perks of being a survivr
Five new guns, a bevy of new obstacles on a new Island layout, and a perk looting system featuring eight new perks. Welcome to the savannah!
This limited time mode introduces a new perk system that builds off the perks you've seen before, like Firepower and Windwalk. In savannah mode, lootable perks can be found around the Island. There are eleven unique perks to find, but you can only have one equipped at a time.
Be careful of getting too bloodthirsty. A secondary "perk" is given to the savannah kill leader: The Hunted. While you are the kill leader, your position will be exposed to all enemies!
Good hunting, survivrs. And if you see someone dressed as a pan ... aim for their sides.
