Eagle's Nest

In Scouting, the eagle stands for strength of character and for knowledge in all phases of Scouting.  The eagle represents an understanding and deep respect of both community and nation. Selection to the position is a recognition by the National Court of Honor through the local council and local court of honor.  Likewise, the Eagle Scout is the highest rank attainable, but it is not accomplished solely through the effort and work of a Scout. That Scout will have dedicated years of effort and successfully completed a long process.  The attainment of the Eagle Scout rank is the culmination of the efforts of the Scout, their supporting family at home, the adult leaders and the Scouts mentors.  More than anything, it is a demonstration of that Scout's ability to work with others to develop a strong sense of leadership, citizenship and responsibility. The Eagle Scout is well respected, by both their peers and adult leaders...and relied upon for guidance and counsel by those younger Scouts.
