Much of 4th grade focuses on quality rather than quantity. This the year we dive deep into project based learning, using the building blocks we have gained so concepts and content can be further enhanced. Students will use that understanding to create various works and begin to evaluate and analyze in regard to their own artwork and that of others. We will continue to incorporate 21st century learning expectations of collaboration, communication, creative problem solving and critical thinking. Compositions will continue to become more complex and a wide variety of techniques will be explored, including a capstone 3-dimensional papier mache mask - a highlight for many students.
