Hypnosis is a completely natural brainwave state that we all enter many times a day — when daydreaming, just before sleep, or even while watching television. It is simply a state of focused awareness.
It is pleasant, relaxing, and calming. Contrary to popular belief, you do not lose control or awareness. Instead, your mind becomes more open, more focused, and more receptive.
In this trance-like state, the conscious mind becomes quieter, allowing easier access to the subconscious — the part of the mind where habits, beliefs, fears, and emotional patterns are stored.
Hypnotherapy uses this natural state to bypass the conscious mind and work directly with the subconscious. This allows us to:
Reprogram unwanted patterns of behaviour
Reduce harmful habits
Lower anxiety and stress
Build confidence
Release fears and phobias
Support emotional well being
Improve sleep
Strengthen motivation and focus
Hypnotherapy can be combined with life coaching to create powerful, lasting change.
Over the years, I have helped many people with a wide range of challenges, including:
Fear of spiders, dogs, bridges
Confidence for public speaking or social situations
Success at work
Reducing sweating
Stopping smoking, vaping, or gambling
Sleeping better
Feeling calmer and less anxious
Managing anger
Gaining or losing weight
Becoming more authentic — saying “no” when needed
Preparing for childbirth and hypnobirthing
Relationship difficulties
Coping with university stress
Emotional overwhelm
Depression and the effects of long-term stress
Self-harm behaviours (always alongside professional medical support)
Whatever is holding you back from living your best life, hypnotherapy can help you understand your mind and use it more effectively. Many people describe the process as an enjoyable journey of self-discovery.
You will begin with a consultation, followed by a series of therapy sessions. The number of sessions varies depending on your situation and how much stress you have been carrying — for some people it’s a lifetime of pressure, for others it’s more recent.
Hypnotherapy is considered a relatively quick form of therapy. Most people need somewhere between:
3 sessions
6 sessions
9 sessions
12 sessions
Each session lasts one hour.
Stress can show up in many ways — emotionally, physically, mentally. You do not have to put up with it. Recognising that you need help is the first step, and finding the right person to guide you can make all the difference.
If you would like to discuss anything — and believe me, I have heard every kind of enquiry — it will be my pleasure to help.
