I wanted to do something tangible to honor my 2020 seniors. Seniors, I love you all dearly and you will always have a special place in my heart and memory. So… I made a graduation sign that has all of my seniors on it. This will be outside of my house, on my website, and put up in my class next year! Seniors, though you will move on, you will always be Coronado Cougars!

I am honored to be able to teach at Coronado High School. It is a great place with wonderful students and staff. I have taught at Coronado since 1999 and I absolutely love what I do. It is an amazing experience to be able to work with teenagers in such a transformational time of their lives.
My family is from Modesto, California where I grew up with a great deal of Spanish in my community and in my school. Like many of my students, I began studying Spanish in high school. I then began traveling to Mexico doing service projects with my youth group and was fascinated by Latin American Culture.
Since then, I completed my B.A degree from Azusa Pacific University in Religion and Spanish, my Master of Arts from the University of Colorado, and my Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary. Yes – I love school!
I have a wonderful family, my wife Sonia and my daughter Sophie. We have lived in Colorado Springs since 1997 and we love it. What a great place with so many opportunities. We try to spend as much time together as we can just enjoying each other and having fun as a family.
In my free time, I help run Cougars Care at Coronado, an organization that helps Coronado students and family members in need. I also spend quite a bit of time cycling, skiing, playing tennis, and having fun outdoors doing a variety of things.
