1st Oral Topic - Give an overview of your family or a significant relationship that you have such as a mentor. Use vocabulary that describes the characteristics and personalities of each family member (10 words). (chapter 1)
2nd Oral Topic - Describe the positive and negative aspects of a city. Provide comparison to Colorado Springs. (chapter 2)
3rd Oral Topic - Give a description a both positive and negative aspects of a source of media (chapter 3)
4th Oral Topic - Describe an event or issue that has impacted you, your family, or you community (chapter 4)
5th Oral Topic - Describe a significant environmental issue that is facing your generation (chapter 5)

The presentations are 4-5 minutes, (about 20 sentences) done in front of the class. They are research based (this is a college class). You may use 3x5 cards with 3 words per sentence on the cards. I recommend using the subject, the conjugated verb, and the object.
You will have a google slide presentation as well as your oral presentation. The Google Slide presentation is in Schoology. Don't put more than 3 words of text on each slide.
Do not write this in English first. Do not write this is in English and run it through a translator. That is plagiarism.
You are graded on a rubric based on pronunciation and fluidity, vocabulary, grammar, and comprehensibility. Each of those is worth 10 points for a total of 40 points.
The class will ask about 1-3 questions of you after your presentation.
