The Bremerton Creative District is a designation certified through the State of Washington, a program which was established under SHB 1183 (2017) and administered by partners at the Washington State Arts Commission (ArtsWA).
Our mission is to ignite the local creative economy by empowering artists, creators, and community builders—transforming our region into a vibrant hub, focusing our four pillars, visual, performing, literary, and culinary arts that celebrate our history and culture.
The District is sanctioned by the City of Bremerton, is hosted by the Greater Kitsap Chamber, and is guided by a group of locally appointed volunteers, including representatives from Olympic College, the Bremerton Arts Commission and working artists. The BCD advances placemaking, engagement, advocacy, and creative career pathways in order to connect creatives, patrons, and businesses.
