Prince…Prince…

The word circled around and around in Canyon’s head, but he couldn’t make sense of it. It didn’t have anything to do with him. It didn’t have anything to do with the times the Queen came over to ask about how he was doing, and never once did the same to any other dragonet. 

It didn’t, couldn’t have anything to do with how he looked so little like Mirage and so much like Cactus, who was now his real mother.

Canyon was a prince.
