Quicksand and Sage gasped. Canyon just sat there with a surprised look on his face. “But—I thought, Mirage…”

Queen Cactus sighed. “Yes, I know, you thought that Mirage was your mother, and that’s what I wanted everyone to think,” the SandDragon queen replied. “I couldn’t risk the Secret getting out,” she whispered.

As if a switch had been flipped, both the dragons and the human leaned closer, fascinated.

“The Secret?” Sage asked quietly.

“Yes, the Secret of Canyon.”
