Task 3: Planning for Assessment requires us to assess how we will tackle different practices within the classroom. How will we activate and use student prior knowledge, how and when will we monitor student progress, and how will we determine student mastery of a standard. We also must include three students from the classroom at the time of writing this task, to observe and monitor and why. I chose three different levelled students, on being at level, one being advanced, and an ELL student who is struggling due to being newly migrated and because of a language barrier.Â
In addition, we must plan out our formative and summative assessments we would use in an entire unit. These assessments should be engaging, varied, and differentiated as much as possible but also must be conducive to the lesson's objectives and standards. These assessments are student facing documents and we are required to explain when these assessments are appropriate within the unit and why we are using these assessments.
