Joining the Student Senate Executive Board as the Secretary in Spring of 2026, my organizational responsibilities are as follows:
1. Maintain records and meeting minutes;
2. Distribute and communicate timelines and agendas;
3. Manage meeting and event attendance, as well as document handling.Â
The Mission and Vision of the Marian University Student Senate is as follows:
The purpose of the Student Senate is to represent the interests and concerns of the student body of Marian University.
The Student Senate allocates necessary funds to clubs and organizations on campus.
The Student Senate promotes campus engagement and voices student improvement suggestions to student life and campus culture.
While this role is ongoing, it will serve as another piece of integral character development for my organization, communication, planning, leadership, and event management skills. I will also gain the exclusive opportunity to help improve the community of Marian by providing strategic planning and actionable changes to campus activities and event alignment, all whilst building meaningful friendships with staff and students on campus.
