Amongst academics, I participate in business, community, and athletic extracurriculars. Competitive hockey and golf have taught me invaluable lessons about teamwork, leadership, and diligence. In addition to sports, I have served on the Marian Business Club E-Board for 2 years. The goal of the club is to help eager students network, learn valuable skills, and connect to opportunities in the community. Along with the Business Club, I have served as a representative on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, which focuses on athlete-based initiatives to support, promote, and celebrate athlete success.
As the Secretary of the Business Club, I have fulfilled our Club's mission through relevant programming, networking opportunities, and relevant skill development. Personally, I have built skills in communicating, leadership, initiative, and event planning.
For the past two seasons, I have played NCAA Men's Hockey with Marian. As an international student from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, I have been brought to the wonderful community of Marian through hockey. I will continue my participation in my Junior and Senior year.
As a secondary sport, I have played the 2026 spring season with the Marian Men's Golf Team. A late addition onto the team, I decided that I was ready to add to our team success. I plan on continuing my multi-sport participation, with golf as my secondary sport.
As a representative for Marian Men's Ice Hockey, I served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. We served as the voice for our team members in important athletic decisions, hosted many themed events for home teams, and organized celebrations for Marian student-athletes on all sports teams.
The goal of the Marian University Student Senate is to represent the primary interests of the student body. As the secretary of the Student Senate, my E-board role consists of maintaining concise and professional records and notes, distributing agendas and actionable communication strategies, and managing various documents and attendance.
