I went on a mission trip to Tanzania with Salem Lutheran Church (Correctionville, IA) the summer of 2024. We partnered with the STEMM program in Siouxland and served the surrounding communities and schools. We were allowed to help tutor students and spend as much time with them as we could. The trip was overall such a life-changing experience and truly pushed me closer to God while allowing me to see his goodness and love in the community.
I am heavily involved with my home church, Salem Lutheran. The past two summers I have been a camp counselor for our summer program and helped lead a 3rd-4th grade classroom in the Word of God. I am also involved with helping out at dinners and services at Salem Lutheran. I am blessed to have found a church that feels like home and that helps me get closer to God every year.Â
In the fall season back home and in Orange City I often participate in raking leaves for the community. I love being able to serve others , whether it be large or small , and giving back to the community that has helped me in so many ways!
