Responding to the Call

I want to become a teacher because I want to make a difference in the lives of my students. From a very young age I knew that becoming a teacher was my dream because I grew up watching my mom as a preschool teacher change the lives of her students, which made me realize how much of an impact she made which overall just pushed me to want to become an educator. Helping students to grow with me in the classroom and pushing them to reach their full potential is one of my greatest hopes for the future. I deeply hope that I will have a positive and safe learning environment where every student will feel comfortable and wanted. I believe that it is important to be just as excited to teach the students as they are to learn. Kids deserve an excited adult and I hope to be that for them. I absolutely cannot wait to have my own classroom one day and be that positive role model for my students and push them to become the best possible versions of themself that they can be.

I believe God has given me the gift of being compassionate for others and especially children. I cannot wait to use this in my classroom to help me become the best possible teacher for them so they can grow up and have a good life. By being compassionate for my students it will allow them to see that I truly care for them and want them to become successful in the future. I am a very active person so I plan to be utilizing a lot of action filled lessons and brain breaks to get my students bodies moving with their brains and hope that this creates a fun-filled learning environment. My biggest goal as an educator is to positively influence the lives of my students and push them to become the best future self that they can be while providing them with good academics and care. With this I also hope to show them God's love through my teaching even if I am not allowed to speak on Him. I pray that in the future students will see me as a trusting adult who they can come to with any concerns, joys, or even when they just need a hug. Through my teaching I hope to overall glorify God through my actions and words and to be the best possible teacher that I can be.
