The Digital Literacy Initiative (DigLit) is a multi-year initiative of the City of Boston’s Office of Workforce Development, led by the Worker Empowerment Cabinet. DigLit aims to provide Boston residents with the digital literacy skills they need to advance in the workforce.
DigLit was initially launched with funding through the City of Boston’s American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to strengthen the capacity of 25 adult education providers. In 2025, the project was awarded an additional $1 million from Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley’s Community Project Funding. This funding was used to implement the DigLit model in 20 community-based organizations providing occupational skills and job readiness training.
