LIBRARY NEWS

Thanks to all the parents and students who visited our school on the Open Night last Monday. It was fantastic to meet you in the library and I hope you enjoyed the evening. I look forward to seeing the eager Year 7 students in 2020 - in our new look library!

As always the library is a busy place with this year no exception. I compared some data from 2018/ 2019, regarding loans from our catalogue and I am excited to announce that our book borrowing has nearly doubled! We are 6 weeks into the school year and I cannot think of a better way to begin! Please keep encouraging your child to read regularly, in this technology driven society the value of a good printed book can never be underestimated. If any student needs assistance with what to read - all they have to do is ask me. I also have a "Book order" form that students may fill in and request titles that we don't have. I expect a new batch of books to arrive in the next week, so please check our new book display.

If students could remember to return any overdue books, that would be great.

We look forward to seeing you in the library.
