Ruth Julian, PhD, MDiv, LMT, AOBTA-CP
Ruth (she/her) is a certified shiatsu practitioner and craniosacral therapy practitioner.
She has found both shiatsu and craniosacral therapies to be foundational in fostering the integration of Body and Mind. The stresses of life, whether from pain, trauma, or other issues, can cause the mind to become disconnected from the body, which holds these stresses. Shiatsu opens the channels of circulation and communication throughout the whole body so that there can once again be integration and freedom. Craniosacral therapy works through the rhythms of the body to reset the body mind integration.
Ruth has a passion for working with people from all backgrounds, orientations, body sizes, and abilities. Her training, education, and life experience have taught her to listen well and learn from the people who cross her path.
Listening is an essential element for both shiatsu and craniosacral therapy. Ruth listens both verbally and somatically to the client for the direction of each session.
Core values in the Body Mind Integrity space are agency, consent, inclusion, and respect.
