There are lots of different ways of doing things.
It’s not always helpful to tell someone they are doing something wrong because they are not doing it a particular way.
A climber gets to the top of a route and builds the anchor out of the climbing rope.
On a different day another climber gets to the top of the same route and builds an anchor out of a cordelette.
The first climber built their anchor out of the climbing rope because they had a competent climbing partner, lots of spare rope, and were swinging leads. The second climber utilised a cordelette because they had a novice climbing partner, with a rope only just long enough for the next pitch, and they weren’t swinging leads.
Don’t look for the way.
This is not the way. This is one possible way.
