TEACHER'S DAY
Every year we celebrate Teacher's Day on the 5th of September to mark the birthday of the country's former President Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He was a great scholar, philosopher and Bharat Ratna Awardee. Since1962, we are continuously celebrating this day as Teacher's Day to pay homage to our great teachers.
Teachers are the life changers and their work is appreciated Worldwide as we all celebrate International Teacher's Day on 5th October every year. World's Teachers Day was started by UNESCO in 1994.
GLOBAL AWARD PRIZE is the highest award given to outstanding teachers for their remarkable performance and achievement in the field of teaching by Varkey Foundation, London. The prize money for this award is 1million dollars. The first annual Global Teacher Prize was awarded in March 2015 to Brain Rondinelli, an English teacher in rural Maine in the United States.
The Indian teacher who received this award is Mr Ranjitsinh Disale. He got this award in the Year-2020 for his excellent innovation in the field of Education.
