SPRING/SUMMER LONG COURSE BLAZE SEASON: To continue swimming, please register for the upcoming Blaze season that begins April 6.
At Blaze Swim Club, we are committed to creating a positive, safe, and respectful environment for all swimmers, families, coaches, officials, and volunteers.
All swimmers participate in a first-day Rules & Regulations discussion with their coaches, during which they agree to follow this Code of Conduct for all Blaze activities, including practices, meets, and team events.
Parents and guardians will also receive a copy of this Code of Conduct.
All swimmers are expected to:
Follow coach instructions
Show respect to teammates, coaches, officials, and volunteers
Demonstrate good sportsmanship
Comply with facility rules and Safe Sport policies
Parents and spectators are expected to:
Support a positive team environment
Communicate respectfully with coaches and staff
Follow all Safe Sport and facility guidelines
Address concerns appropriately and privately
If the Code of Conduct is not followed, Blaze Swim Club will use the discipline steps outlined below.
The order of steps may change depending on the severity and nature of the incident.
The coach will address the issue as soon as possible after the incident occurs.
The swimmer (or individual) will be informed of the concern
The coach will explain the expected correction
Parents or guardians may be notified
More serious or repeated incidents may result in temporary suspension from:
A practice
A meet
A team activity
Or the team for a specified period of time
Parents or guardians will be notified.
Important notes:
No refunds will be given during the suspension period
Any additional expenses are the responsibility of the individual and their parents or legal guardians
If previous disciplinary steps do not resolve the issue, or if the incident is considered severe, the individual may be expelled from Blaze Swim Club.
Expulsion requires approval from the Head Coach and the Board
Refunds may or may not be issued
Any additional expenses remain the responsibility of the individual and their parents or legal guardians
This Code of Conduct exists to:
Protect swimmer safety
Promote respect and sportsmanship
Support a positive team culture
Ensure a consistent and fair approach to discipline
