This semester in Strategies for Success, I learned a bunch of new skills that helped me become a better student. One of my favorite parts was reading The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens. Going through the book taught me habits that helped me stay more organized, manage my time better, and think about how my actions affect my success. It made me pay more attention to how I work and how I can improve.
Some of my classes went really well, especially Digital Arts. I liked the assignments and felt confident with the creative projects we did. Not everything was easy, though — Algebra 1 was definitely a challenge. Some lessons were confusing, and I had to put in extra effort to understand them. The habits from the book really helped me get through all of my classes. One thing I know I struggle with is turning in my assignments on time. Next semester, I want to be pro-active and get my assignments done early.
Overall, this semester showed me that I’m a hard-working student who keeps trying even when things get tricky. Staying on top of my work and using the habits from the book really helped me stay organized and focused. Next semester, I want to keep getting better in Algebra, stay caught up with my assignments, and keep using the habits we learned so I can finish the year strong.
