Applications for all current 3rd and 4th graders (who are rising to 4th and 5th grades) can be found on the "Science Academy" page of this website. Students who scored high enough at Science Challenge will be sent separate application information.

Science academy dues are $25 to cover the cost of our materials. This comes out to about $0.9/hour of science instruction for the year. More information about payment will be sent out to accepted students. If you are in need of assistance, please email us at bjhsscienceacademy@gmail.com.
No. We ask that parents drop their students off at the front office and instructors will lead them to and from their classroom. At the first lesson only, parents may drop off their students to the classroom, if they wish.
Science Academy occurs on Friday afternoons, usually twice per month. Students may begin to arrive at 3:50, but class will begin at 4:00 and end at 5:30. The program consists of about 15 lessons from August to late March or early April.
Rising costs associated with running the programs that we offer have led to dues being raised. Additionally, our efforts to increase the number of activities within lessons has necessitated increased funding to cover materials.
