In October 2023, the shed club was visited by representatives of the Senior Saints Foundation. Since then, at least three members of the shed club have become regular attenders at Senior Saints functions.
They provide sessions of moderate but continuous exercise which helps keep us fit, and there is tea or coffee afterwards, so there is also a social element. For those of us who go, it is an extremely valuable resource.
You have to be over 60 to go to Senior Saints, but some of our members are!

A number of us recently visited, and there are pictures elsewhere on the site. It is an industrial museum but traditional crafts are also represented. The display is mostly static, but there is lots there, and very good explanations, so you come away with great inspiration to look things up.
The shed club has visited Yandles in 2023 and 2024. It is a working sawmill, and has a large range of wood for sale, as well as comprehensive tool and craft shops. There is also a good restaurant.
We visited Brooklands in April 2023, and if anything, there is too much there for a single day. It was the home of British motor racing until the second world war. It was also the home of Vickers Aircraft, it is both an aviation and a motor museum. An interesting place and really helpful and informative volunteers. We are looking forward to our next trip. The wheelchair came in handy.
