The idea is that we all submit photographs, drawings or other artwork with the theme "Looking up", for example upper stories of buildings in the Southampton area (it may be just a vape shop at ground level, but have a wonderful Victorian upper storey.) but you could include your favourite sky picture like last year.
To join the competition you need only to take photographs (an absolute maximum of two) and send them to Paul Todd, pntodd@gmail.com, as jpegs, copying milwarddave@gmail.com. If you only have an actual paper photograph we'd be happy to turn it into a jpeg for you. If you don't wish to join in, that's fine; just don't send in any entries.
If you prefer you may submit a photograph of one of your own artworks, like a drawing, painting, sculpture etc that meets the theme of our competition.
Entries should be in jpeg ( .jpg ) format and attached to an email sent to the following address:-

And copying
milwarddave@gmail.com
The Email should identify each photo with:
Your name (as the photographer).
The photo title - a wisely chosen title might enhance your chance of winning by adding context to the photograph.
Judging will be carried out by votes from our shedders. Note: all entries must be taken by the submitter, the shedder, for copyright reasons.
Entries could be from any type of digital camera or smart phone. Any JPEG size will be accepted though very large attachments might be rejected by email servers. If in doubt send up to two emails with 1 photo attached to each email.
Entries can be submitted from now onwards.
Closing date for entries is 15 January 2026.
The winner (who will be chosen by the members) will be announced at a meeting in mid January.

Once we have a few more, we will group them by contributor, and add titles. But already, it is looking good for a high-quality competition.
