David was great in battle, but he was also a songwriter and musician. David wrote songs about God's faithfulness to us:
He celebrated the truth that God is our shepherd (Psalm 23)
He sang about God's love lasting forever (Psalm 136)
God being our faithful friend (Psalm 100:5)
David was really good friends with Jonathan, Saul's son. Jonathan helped save and rescue David when he was in trouble. God sent Jesus to save and rescue us from our sins. When we trust in God, He is our faithful friend.
