Big-Mouth

This charming and nearly extinct creature is a type of feathered lizard. It's about the size of a Birbber, has four legs and a long, strong tail. Bigmouths are omnivores and their relatively large mouths, their teeth and rough tongue, are ideal for eating leaves. However, don't be fooled by their plant-eating ways as during the night they hunt other animals in small family groups, relying on their sense of smell, taste and hearing to get around. Bigmouths do have eyes, but their sight is underdeveloped.

They make sounds ranging from very high pitched to relatively low pitched and have a huge range of sounds they make to indicate discoveries, dangers and otherwise communicate with each other.

Bigmouths are very territorial around their dens and many Birbbers find them resting quietly. One can easily sneak past one but if awoken from their sleep they rampage.

Bitter-Bug

A common food source for Birbbers is the bitterbug. Contary to their name they range in flavour based on their colour, it just happens to be that the red (Bitter) ones are easier to catch. The biolumence colors represent their phase in their lifecycle. Babies (sweet) have no colour; Adolescents (sour) are blue; Prime Adults are purple (salty) or green (savoury) with Bitterbugs at their end of their lifecycle being red.

They are easily picked up by Birbbers, around the size of their hands and often live in their own colonies. They have specialised attennas which are used as extending graspers at the front of their mouth to find and secure food.

Mind-Ant

Described as being an 'analog creature' to Birbbers and their biggest competitors, Mind-Ants drones are about a 10th of the size of a Birbber, however their Hunters and Gatherers are about a quarter of the size of a Birbber, with the queen being twice the size of a Birbber. They communicate with pheromones and follow a hierarchy. Hunters, Gatherers, Warriors and Princes are able to use tools, have been known communicate with Birbbers on a basic gesture system. Queens are known to be able to translate and communicate with Birbbers and are often known to be able to manipulate objects with their mind (Thus the name.)

Some birbbers will attempt to enter nests to speak to the Queens to attempt to diplomatically end conflicts, which often causes shaky alliances and easily broken treaties. Usually dark bodied with the insect appearance of ants, they can also be seen wearing rudimentary equipment and some warriors even wear the masks of birbbers they have killed.

Open-Eyes

Fuzzy and Furry, used to create clothing, Open-Eyes are omnivores who live either in packs in the wild, or as semi-feral as camp scavengers. Markings on the long back crest look like eyes to some birbbers while their actual eyes are black, beaded and behind the massive tuft of fur that covers their face. They come in colourations similar to dogs and wolves.

The Walking One

Believed to be ONE creature of tremendous hostility is "The Walking One" -- a massive beast that is 'always hunting and prowling'

It is believed to be a singular war god or rogue deity that has no other objective then to wreck havoc, however it's species is rather elusive due to their impressive ability to change color, alluding presence and nimbleness. Birbbers believe they are one entity because they never see signs of the creature anywhere else. Black-bodied, these four-eyed panthers stalk alone for the unsuspecting birbbers.

Flora

Ghost Nesting Tree

A short shrub that grows up to taller than it is wide. It has moss green leaves, silky, white with black speckled bark, and branches that are tall, rigid and upright.

This plant is often used for bedding, as the leaves turn soft after being picked.

Prowler's Plant

A big flower bush that grows tall, with petals that are either copper or blue, with a yellow center. 6 to 10 giant flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. It has thick, emerald leaves. It has lots of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bug.

Fact: It's leaves releases hallucinogenic smoke when burned.

Saltking Tree

A big fruit tree that grows up to 30 feet (9.1 meters) tall. It has green leaves, a flexible, wavy trunk with ridged, brown-green bark, and branches that are very long and slender. In mid-summer it produces tiny, oval fruit. The fruit's rough brilliant orange skin is inedible. The fruit is a foral savoury flavour.

Ingo Fruit Tree

A colossal fruit tree that has small, multicoloured needles, a very thick, twisting trunk with knobbly, brown-green speckled bark, and branches that are long, thin and wispy. In early autumn it produces very large, circular fruit. The fruit's skin is indigo, and the flesh is muted yellow.

Folly Fruit Tree

Similar-looking to the Ingo Fruit Tree when not producing fruit, this tree often confuses inexperienced birbbers It instead produces large, stiff, pointed fruit. The yellow fruit is inedible to Birbbers but often used for tonics.

Blue Blossom Tree

An average-sized fruit tree. It produces lots of small, lilac blossoms with many layers of petals. In late summer it produces very large, cyan-fleshed fruit with a tough white rind.

Ruddy Tree

A short tree that grows up to 4 meters tall. It has bold red leaves with ripped edges, and branches that are long and thick. It lives for centuries and is often carefully hollowed out by Birbbers to create homes. These days it's harder to find an unoccipied Ruddy Tree.

Ruddy Moss

A companion to the ruddy tree, and often found near Ruddy Trees is the gentle red moss often at the base of the trees and in surrounding It forms in sparse patches and can overwhelm an area rapidly, and is extremely resistant. This seems to be benefical to the Ruddy Tree as it covers away a lot of competition.
