Zien Sheikh Ali

Zien is a researcher interested in information retrieval, natural language processing, and social media analysis. She received her M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Computing and Computer Engineering from Qatar University. Zien worked as a research assistant at Sidra Medicine and Research Center in Qatar where she focused on translational medicine using deep learning, and as a research assistant at Qatar University on an NPRP funded project focusing on Arabic fake news detection over social media. She has also worked as a Teaching Assistant in Qatar University after completing her M.Sc. Degree. Zien aspires to contribute to the IR research and her community.
