People who go to college are there for a reason. They want to uplift themselves from their current situation to something that’s better. They are smart enough to know that a solid education can open the door through which they can go on to better things in life. We always encourage our students to focus, avoid distractions and get down to work. It is hard. It can be tough. It can be overwhelming. However, all the sacrifice that one makes while endeavoring to achieve one’s academic goals are worth all the hard work.
Everyone can identify with the sense of accomplishment, achievement, pride and gratitude that washes over us as we finally complete that last exam, quiz, or research paper and know that we did our best. As we check our grades, our GPA, our graduation status, it dawns on us that we did it. We are filled with joy, happiness and all the feel-good emotions tied to success. We have accomplished what we set out to do. We have our degree in hand!
