Our work is also focusing on the synthesis of various types of polymers and polymeric composites that are able to transport ions. These polymers, depending upon their chemical structure, can be employed in a number of energy devices, especially Lithium based energy storage devices. Moreover, we have employed ionic liquids for efficient selective cation movement in solid polymer electrolytes. We are currently working towards flame-retardant self-healing solid polymer electrolytes.
