Polymer Crystallization Under Hierarchical Confinement in Electrospun Nanofibers
The present study has been basically motivated from the complex behavior of polymer during crystallization, especially in blend environment and is related with fundamental interest in the understanding of polymeric material behavior at nanometer level. So the aims are to understand the crystallization behavior of polymorphic semi-crystalline polymer confined in electrospun nanofibers. During the production of electrospun nano fiber, the high stress induced chain orientation and confined chain mobility is expected influence the crystallization kinetics and polymorphic behavior of polymer. So, we plan to systematically study the influence of confinement and high stress induced chain orientation on the crystallization behavior of polymer. The effect of different variables will be studied in details. The knowledge gained through these studies will be significant in understanding polymer crystallization in polymer nanofibres which recently has been attracting lot of attention.
