If a career in culinary arts sounds appetizing to you, Brighter Futures can get you there. Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee member enrolled in the Brighter Futures Program can participate in a culinary training course held in partnership with Garde Young Chefs Academy.
Program Details:
High School Students ages 14-18 are eligible to participate
Total program commitment is 5 weeks
There is no cost for this program.
Space is Limited.
In this training course, students will learn the following kitchen basics:
Food Handling & Safety (ServSafe Certification)
Knife Skills
Cleaning & Sanitation
Baking
Hospitality Training/Table Setting + Serving
Etiquette
Food Recipes
Meal Preparation
Assembly
Business Skills
Restaurant Simulation
Intro to AI
Upon completion of the program, students will receive:
ServSafe Certification
Culinary Certicate
In additional to culinary training, MANDATORY job readiness, social emotional development and academic and career planning training will be held in conjunction with the culinary training.
