As part of the BeYou project, a Learning, Teaching, and Training (LTT) event was organized to enhance the competencies of trainers and youth workers involved in the program. This intensive training was designed to provide participants with the knowledge, methodologies, and practical tools needed to effectively implement the BeYou approach and support young women in building confidence, resilience, and self-awareness.
The LTT sessions covered the four key BeYou training modules:
Media Literacy and Creative Expression – Understanding the impact of media on self-image and developing critical thinking skills.
Emotional Intelligence and Resilient Communities – Strengthening self-awareness, empathy, and emotional regulation.
Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving – Encouraging independent thinking and innovative approaches to societal challenges.
Self-Reflection and Advocacy – Empowering young women to embrace their authenticity and advocate for positive change.
A key aspect of the training was the practical implementation of BeYou materials, where trainers engaged in interactive activities, role-playing exercises, and real-life case studies to explore how the methodologies can be applied in diverse learning environments. This hands-on approach ensured that participants gained not only theoretical knowledge but also concrete strategies to use in their work with young women.
Additionally, participants were introduced to the Open Badges validation system, which will serve as a digital certification tool, recognizing their competencies and contributions to the project. This system enhances professional development and ensures the long-term impact and sustainability of the BeYou methodology across different educational settings.
The LTT event reinforced the commitment of project partners to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for young women. By equipping trainers with essential skills and resources, the BeYou project continues to foster self-confidence, media literacy, and emotional well-being, paving the way for long-term empowerment and positive societal change.
