During the spring semester of my Sophomore year, I was lucky enough to be able to travel to the Dominican Republic with VIDA Health Partnerships. As the Director of Member Education for the 2024-2025 school year within VIDA, I was excited to see our emphasis on volunteer initiatives abroad come to life. Throughout an incredible week, we were able to serve on 2 rewarding projects while learning about the culture, healthcare system, food, and more. While the trip may be over, my takeaways from the experience will remain important to me.
