Thank you so much for your interest in becoming a volunteer or chaperone for the Nash County Public School System. All volunteers must be 18 or older and not enrolled in any public school system. There is no charge for any background check. NCPS assumes responsibility for all background check fees. Please complete the steps below to insure timely processing of your application.

Volunteers that aren't participating in one-off/large family-based activities are required to go through the Volunteer Portal for NCPS. Please proceed to the volunteer portal to volunteer at Benvenue. The PTO board is here to support you through this process. Other questions and support can be done through NCPS. Step 1
Read and Complete the application found on the Volunteer Portal to join the NCPS Volunteer/Chaperone Team.
Step 2
You will be contacted via email from BIB (the contracted background check service) once your application has been approved or denied.
Step 3
Please know this process, depending on volume of applicants, may take up to 5 business days.
You will receive a card in the mail which lets schools know you are approved.
