In this lab, we used Photoshop to learn about adding text, shapes, and vector shapes to an Image and what the difference between them Is. The photo was to be resized to a poster standard size and then do the following:
Add 2 shapes with filters
Add text with special effects
Have Text Follow a Path
Adding a Smart Filter
This Is the final poster Image created. I wanted to make a Halloween-themed poster for a movie night. I found several fonts online through Adobe's font family catalog. I also found several shapes like the blood splatter and notebook to add to the Image's theme. The Image started out as a full-color alleyway In a town. I thought this image would work well If I made It monochromatic. Using the Rulers view I could resize the Image to the appropriate poster size needed for the lab. I then use the Crop Tool's Ratio to meet the dimension requirements. The adjustment layer I've used is the Channel Mixer to turn the background Image grey. The second Adjustment layer was the Exposure. I then used a Filter to render the Different Clouds options. The specific text font I used was from Adobe's Creative Cloud under True Gore by Erica Jung and Ricardo Marcin (font credit: https://fonts.adobe.com/fonts/true-gore#fonts-section). The several effects I chose were the Warp text, stroke, and gradients. The shapes are from the Legacy Shapes menu. The blood drop shape Is the Smart Object designated and I added an effect of an Iris Blur to It.
