Lab 3 Part A
Lab 3 Part A - Correcting Light or Contrast
In this lab, we used Photoshop to fix and correct Images with needed adjustments for Issues like contrast and light brightness. These corrections were Important to be non-destructive so edits could be made later one If required. Corrections for the photos were to be made with adjustments panel options like Levels, Curves, Shadows/Highlights, Hue, Saturation, and more. Tools also utilized In this particular lab are the white point or black point to correct Images.
Original Image
I was really fond of this Image and the main subject of the statue on an ornate pillar. However, the original Image Is very dark In brightness and there's a lot of other noise occurring as well. The dullness and the lack of brightness and saturation really take away from the subject and make It hard to see why the sculpture Is a spectacle. This photo was taken In Madrid, Spain by Benjamin Gallegos.
Final Image
The corrected Image has several layers of non-destructive layer adjustments. The first tool I used was the Crop Tool to remove the majority of the site visitors heads and I also used the straighten tool to even out the photo. The first adjustment layer was the Curves adjustment, using the White Point Tool on the clouds that didn't blow out the Image. Another adjustment layer I chose was the Brightness/Contrast layer. The Increase In brightness In the Image really made the Image pop more. The last adjustment layer chosen was the Vibrance layer, which helps the colors of the Image become more vibrant and full. Lastly, I used the Clone Stamp Tool to finish off any remaining site visitors' heads from the Image.
