In this lab, we used Photoshop to fix and correct Images with needed adjustments for Issues like contrast and light brightness. These corrections were Important to be non-destructive so edits could be made later one If required. Corrections for the photos were to be made with adjustments panel options like Levels, Curves, Shadows/Highlights, Hue, Saturation, and more. More specifically, this part of the lab was to correct the hue/saturation or color tint of an Image of our choice.Â
This Image was from a concert In Richardson, TX at Wildflower Festival, a community event that my work puts on. I loved the purple-hued glow the lights give the stage and performers. But I also really loved the shadows It created In the crowd watching. I thought that this would be a great photo to practice hue and saturation corrections on.
The end result of the hue corrections was a more dramatic sepia effect, to dull the vibrancy of the original Image but also add a melancholy feel to what would be a lively Image of a concert. The corrections were done non-destructive on a new adjustment layer of Hue/Saturation. The specific hue choices are Hue 31, Saturation 57, and Lightness - 14. The next adjustment layer made was the Vibrance/Saturation to bring out the dark sepia color a little more.
