This self-defense tutorial has been on my door for fully three years.
Everyone needs to watch it at least once.
In Spring of 2020, I created a discussion board in Canvas in my first class. It was called "dank memes." My students did not disappoint. Since that time, I have become (in)famous for my memes, with some on my door, and a day's worth of memes in every class.
This was the first meme shared in that first class, by one Mayleigh Barth, who just happens to (after a mission and more) currently be my TA.
And if you are looking for an explanation of linguistic patterns, I really can't recommend anything better than this.
What kind of music is the best kind of focus music?
Video game music. Obviously. Because it's designed to make you focus on (and enjoy!) what you are doing, not on the music!
Also, this song is six minutes, and is my class timer. It's so great.
I'm honestly not sure there's a way to explain this other than "you should just take my class."
Tragically, Google Sites isn't very good at formatting pictures, so you won't be able to see some of them. You'll have to take my class for the full context!
This is "slaps roof of car" meme folder. It's a favorite. The Trojan Horse ftw lolol.
Apparently at some point someone asked an AI engine to generate images teaching people American Sign Language. We affectionately call this set of three images "demon hands" as a reminder that AI isn't very good yet, and is, in fact, haunted. I wouldn't look at it for longer than about three seconds or it will give you nightmares.
My wife and I went on a date to the McKay library with nothing but a pack of googley eyes, and we're 100% trying to make it a thing.
A student of mine found out that I love Jonathan Haidt, and made us matching adoration pictures. With frames.
I have the best students.
Jatsby. Makes me laugh every. Darn. Time.
Also, beware the hog army.
